Delaware Valley Youth Ultimate (DEVYL) is creating a U-17 Open Summer Club Team.  The team will be heading to the USA Ultimate's Youth Club Championships (YCC) to compete for a National Championship.  The tournament is taking place August 1st - 3rd, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado.  

Tryouts:

There will be two tryouts this season:

• Tryout #1 - Sunday, March 15th, 2026 from 3 PM to 6 PM

at Edison Intermediate School, Westfield, NJ. 

• Tryout #2 - Saturday, March 28th, 2026 from 1 PM to 4 PM

at Monte Irvin Park, Orange, NJ.

2) Online Form

3) Gender Equity and Inclusivity Pledge - if not in indoor league or returning player

4) There is a tryout fee for those who did not participate in the DEVYL Indoor League of $50.00: Click Here For Payment

Summer Schedule:

As shown above, tryouts are taking place in March.  The team will be selected at that time as players return to their school based teams for the spring season in April and May.  During that time, we will remain in touch and work on travel logistics.

Starting June 7th, practices will be on Sunday mornings, Tuesday evenings, and Thursday evenings until July 28th.  The team will also participate in two special events before the YCC tournament:

• Warmup Tournament: July 11-12 (in Philadelphia)

• Camp Day: July 26th (in Pittstown, NJ)  

Youth Club Championships (YCC):

• Thursday, July 30th: fly into Denver, team bonding activity

• Friday, July 31st: Team practice, spectate adult U.S. Open games, team dinner

• Saturday, August 1st: Day 1 of tournament

• Sunday, August 2nd: Day 2 of tournament

• Monday, August 3rd: Day 3 of tournament, fly home 

Cost:

The cost for the entire summer (practices, special events, YCC trip) is approximately $1,900 - $2,200 per player.  This includes all hotel rooms, flights, tournament fees, jerseys, coaching, and an unforgettable experience of playing at the best youth tournament in the nation.
